Donations for the Fernley flood victims

Please visit Fernley and more.

Here is what is left of some families lifestyles. It was devastating to drive through my old neighborhood!

Many people have come together and volunteered to clean up for weeks. Long hours and hard work continues as people try to salvage what they can. Many donations have come pouring in to feed the misplaced families and hard working volunteers.

John Mariotti has started a campaign to collect toys for all the children. The flood came about after Christmas and many of the children lost their toys. You can contact John Mariotti by email. Or you may call him at:775-575-6077 or 775-338-2412 (cell) .

Rotary Club of Fernley is doing a great job in efforts to clean up and start fund raisers with other local companies. This also includes the Universal TaeKwon-Do, Brian's One Million Acts Of Kindness project, the Red Cross, and many more! The address for the Rotary Club of Fernley is PO Box 408, Fernley NV 89408. Or contact Chris Beni at 775-575-9966.

Digiprint Corporation in Reno is also accepting donations in all forms. You can contact Teresa Pena by email, or by phone 775-786-4464/775-240-1706 cell. Monetary donation checks can be made out to the Rotary Club of Fernley. We are accepting donations of all shapes and sizes. Lightly used furniture, appliances, books, toys, newly purchased personal hygiene items, etc.

Please visit fernleynews.com or http://www.cityoffernley.org/ for continous updated information.

Conscious Community Network has come into the area with a roar. Grassroots Books from Reno has given 10 cases of books to get everything started. Cottonwood Elementary School is analyzing the need for all the children. The Head Start also needed help getting back up and running.
